Our Qualifications

At PipeWrencher, we believe that trust is built on a solid foundation of proven skills, official certifications, and complete transparency. When you invite a plumber into your home, business, or condominium, you deserve to know they’re fully qualified, certified, and insured. That’s exactly what we offer.

We’re proud to be fully licensed and insured to provide plumbing services throughout Toronto and across Ontario. Here’s a breakdown of our qualifications and what they mean for you as a customer.

Certified Journeyperson Plumber – 306A License

All of our plumbing work is performed by certified 306A Plumbers, which is the official trade certification for plumbers in Ontario. The 306A license is awarded only after rigorous apprenticeship training, completion of over 9,000 hours of hands-on experience, and successful passing of the Certificate of Qualification exam through Skilled Trades Ontario (formerly the Ontario College of Trades).

This license ensures that our plumbers are trained in:

  • Residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems

  • Installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing fixtures and piping

  • Local building codes, safety procedures, and health regulations

Only licensed 306A plumbers are legally allowed to carry out plumbing work in Ontario — and we meet that standard.

Red Seal Endorsement – Interprovincial Certification

In addition to being 306A-certified, we also hold the Red Seal endorsement, a nationally recognized standard of excellence for skilled tradespeople in Canada. The Red Seal designation means we’ve passed a comprehensive exam that validates our skills across provinces and territories.

What this means for you:

  • You’re hiring a plumber who meets the highest industry standards

  • Our knowledge is recognized Canada-wide — not just in Ontario

  • You can trust our experience, professionalism, and up-to-date training

Licensed by the City of Toronto

We’re licensed by the City of Toronto, which is a legal requirement for performing plumbing work within city limits. This municipal license allows us to work on both public and private properties, ensuring that all plumbing jobs follow local codes and permit regulations.

Toronto has strict requirements when it comes to plumbing work — and we’re proud to meet or exceed every one of them.

$5 Million Liability Insurance Coverage

We carry up to $5 million in commercial general liability insurance, which protects both you and your property in the rare event of unexpected damage or accidents. This level of insurance coverage:

  • Meets the standard required to work in commercial buildings and condominiums

  • Provides added protection for homeowners and property managers

  • Offers peace of mind that we operate safely and professionally at all times

We’re also compliant with WSIB (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board) coverage, which protects our workers on the job and shields our clients from liability in the event of a workplace injury.

Qualified for Residential, Commercial & Condo Work

Because we hold all required licenses and insurance coverage, we’re fully qualified to perform plumbing services in:

  • Single-family homes

  • Apartment units

  • Multi-unit residential buildings

  • Condominiums

  • Commercial spaces

  • Retail stores

  • Office buildings

  • Restaurants and food service businesses

Whether you need a quick fixture repair in a small home or a full plumbing system install in a multi-floor condo, we have the experience and credentials to do it safely, legally, and up to code.

Committed to Ongoing Training

Plumbing is a skilled trade that constantly evolves. At PipeWrencher, we don’t stop learning. We stay current with:

  • Changes in the Ontario Building Code

  • New technologies in plumbing fixtures and tools

  • Eco-friendly plumbing solutions and water-saving options

  • Safety and health guidelines

  • Industry best practices and installation techniques

We’re not just certified — we’re committed to keeping our skills sharp and our standards high.

Why Qualifications Matter

When you hire a qualified plumber, you’re protecting your home, your family, and your investment. Unlicensed work can lead to:

  • Costly future repairs

  • Voided insurance claims

  • City code violations and failed inspections

With PipeWrencher, you don’t have to worry. We meet all provincial and municipal requirements, carry extensive insurance, and offer the skills and experience to do the job right — the first time.
